We’ve had a great summer of holiday projects and now we are looking forward to kicking off our regular weekly sessions again, starting on Friday 13 September 6pm – 8pm. New members are always welcome and the start of a new term is the perfect time to come along and join the fun.
Discover our exciting week-long series of workshops in acting, devising, scripting, and technical film making activities.
Lead by experienced industry facilitators, this project will give you the opportunity to create a short 3 -5 min film by the end of the week. No experience necessary, but limited spaces available!
Come along to Brixton Community Base for a series of fun-filled drama workshops, led by professional actors and directors!
The games, improvisation and rehearsals will lead to a performance at the end of the week. Make new friends, build your confidence, learn acting skills, rehearse a new play and above all have fun.

From Monday 10th June 12 pm to Monday 17th June 6 pm we will be part of the Big Give and Childhood Trust’s ‘Summer Give’ fundraising scheme, where we aim to raise money for our Theatre and Films Arts Week project running this Summer at the Brixton Community Base. Any £5, £10, £20, £50, £100 you donate will be doubled and help us to reach our target of £2000.
Our Summer project will provide a fun and constructive programme where the participants will engage in positive creative activities, learning new skills and developing team work whilst staying safe and away from the temptations that could lead them into trouble. This will also provide reassurance and peace of mind for parents/carers over the school holidays.

We had a great visit from Casting Director Verity Naughton, who dropped by check out our members. She also gave us a bit of an insight into the work she does and how the casting process works.
BYT have regular workshops where they get a chance to hone their film acting and film skills. They also devise and writing short film scripts which they turn into to short films in our filmmaking projects

Ahead of their run of ‘The Moors’ actor Tonderai Munyevu and director Arne Pohlmeie lead a drama workshop with BYT members, which focused on some of the techniques they used in their rehearsal process.
