BYT new programme strand for local young people aged 7 -11
BYT 7-11, Is a free, weekly drama and performing arts workshops, every Friday during term time 4.15pm – 5.45pm
The workshops will use drama as a fun and exciting tool to:
- Build confidence, communication, interpersonal and creative skills;
- Develop literacy skills, and support the school curriculum;
- Build acting and performance skills and give young people access to the profession.
BYT 7-11 will provide a perfect ladder of opportunity for participants, enabling them to progress from the younger group to our well established older BYT group, (13+). The young people will engage in fun, creative activities providing a positive outlet for their energy and an alternative to more negative activities and behaviour.
