This Summer, our amazing week of drama and performing art activities returns, for children based in Brixton aged 7 to 11.
The project will provide fantastic fun and creative drama activities, which will enable participants to explore their health and well-being in a safe, fun and supportive environment.
The activities will include; drama, theatre devising, Tai Chi, improvisation, script work, music, dancing/movement and drawing/crafts. Young people will also be provided with a fantastic nutritious and healthy lunch.
Our Spring of Food and Fun Drama Project runs from:
Monday 29th July – Friday 9th August from 11am -3pm
St Vincent’s Centre, Brixton, Talma Road, SW2 1AS
Through the project we aim to get children and young people to:
Eat more healthily and be more active over the school holidays
Develop resilience, character and wellbeing by engaging in enriching activities
Be safe and not to be socially isolated
Give them greater knowledge of health and nutrition

All our BYT groups are now on a winter break and will be back in action in the New Year, starting on Friday 12 January 2024 when we will rehearsal for our new play.

BYT members enjoyed trip to see the final week of the NT connections festival – for some of our newer members it was the first time they had ever been to the theatre. They found seeing other young performers, the same age as themselves, greatly inspiring.
This summer, Brixton Youth Theatre will be running two weeks of amazing summer fun, with our Holiday and Food drama/performing arts project, for children and young people based in Brixton.
Dates and times:
11am – 3pm
Week 1 for 7-11 year olds – Monday 24th July to Friday 28th
On Thursday 27th being there will be super summer outing to see Alice In Wonderland at Kew Gardens
Week 2 for 11 – 16 year olds – Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August

Young people will also be provided with a fantastic nutritious and healthy lunch that will enable them to explore their health and well-being in a safe and fun supportive environment.
Through the project we aim to get children and young people to:

This April Brixton Youth Theatre will be running our amazing drama and performing arts project for children and young people based in Brixton.

These will run every Monday until 27th March and then throughout the school year.
The hall will be open from 4pm. Parents are welcome to come and see what the classes are about, we would need them all to fill in a registration form when they bring their children for the first time. We can help with that. Everyone is welcome from these groups, and we hope to run this more
