This summer, Brixton Youth Theatre will be running two weeks of amazing summer fun, with our Holiday and Food drama/performing arts project, for children and young people based in Brixton.
Dates and times:
11am – 3pm
Week 1 for 7-11 year olds – Monday 24th July to Friday 28th
On Thursday 27th being there will be super summer outing to see Alice In Wonderland at Kew Gardens
Week 2 for 11 – 16 year olds – Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August
The project.
We will have our usual popular mix of fantastic fun filled drama and performing arts activities, including; acting, improvisation, devising theatre, film, Tai Chi, script work, music, dancing, and drawing/crafts.
Young people will also be provided with a fantastic nutritious and healthy lunch that will enable them to explore their health and well-being in a safe and fun supportive environment.
Through the project we aim to get children and young people to:
- Eat more healthily and be more active over the school summer holidays.
- Develop resilience, character and wellbeing by engaging in enriching activities.
- Be safe and not to be socially isolated, make new friends and develop positive relationships
- Gain greater awareness of health and nutrition.
