‘We Belong’ Vintage Voices and Brixton Youth Theatre event – 28 April 2018
Brixton Community Base and Sixteenfeet Productions would like to invite you to an evening of readings, recordings and reminiscence mapping Brixton’s recent past. The event will be hosted by the spoken word artist Elliot Daley, aka ‘Wordplay’ and will feature performances by Brixton Youth Theatre.
This project has involved local people sharing their memories of Brixton from the 1950’s to the present day. The resultant stories are thought-provoking, moving and at times very funny! We are presenting original works under the 2018 Brixton Design Trail theme, ‘We Belong’ as an acknowledgement of the connectivity between different culture, ages, hopes and ambitions.
Come and join us at Brixton Community Base, Talma Road, SW2 1AS on Saturday 28 April from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
If you are interested in joining BYT and taking part in this event please getting touch.
